Leprechaun Leap 5K/8K Run – March 16, 2019

Get-Lucky-CPD-Post Get a jump start on St. Patrick’s Day with the Leprechaun Leap, formerly the Chicago’s St. Paddy’s 5K/8K. The event returns on March 16 at 9:30 AM in Lincoln Park. Runners are encouraged to come in green attire. All proceeds will benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Hamilton: The Exhibition – Opening April 27, 2019

Lincoln Park Zoolights The world premiere of Hamilton: The Exhibition will open on April 27 at Chicago’s Northerly Island. The new traveling attraction is by the creators of the hit Broadway musical, Hamilton – composer and lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda, producer Jeffrey Seller, set designer David Korins, and musical director Thomas Kail. The immersive experience will recreate pivotal events featured in the play such as the Revolutionary Army’s decisive victory at the Battle of Yorktown.

Convenient parking is available at the Adler Planetarium Lot at Soldier Field. The rates are as follows: Adler Lot: Day Rate $20 / Night Rate (in after 4 PM) $13 / Early Bird (in before 9:30 AM) $11. Chicago Polar Plunge – March 3, 2019

polar-plunge Go take a dive at the 19th Annual Chicago Polar Plunge. The annual polar bear club event takes place in Lake Michigan each year to support 7,500+ Special Olympic athletes. The plunge will take place on Sunday, March 3rd at North Avenue Beach.

Mardi Gras Chaser 5K/10K – March 2, 2019

Montrose Park Parking Earn your beads by participating in Back on My Feet Chicago’s Mardi Gras Chaser 5K/10K run. The event will be held on Saturday, March 2nd beginning at 10 am. Participants will run on a USATF certified 5K or 10K course at Montrose Harbor. Festive music and masks will be available as motivation. Following the race, runners can party NOLA style at the post-race party at Fat Cat, where they can enjoy beverages, brunch, and chances to win Mardi Gras beads and prizes.
